Self Care and Parenting

Parenting takes it out of us. We’re meant to be the calm ones so our kids can co-regulate with us – but most of the time we’re overstimulated, tired, touched out, and running through a massive mental to-do list. It’s hard to show up with patience when your own cup is empty.

Lately I’ve realised I haven’t been feeling like myself and that absolutely affects how I show up as a parent. So I want to be a bit more intentional about looking after myself. I didn't want to do anything extreme but I do want to hold myself accountable (and have you guys help me)so I've chosen 6 small things to do for the next 60 days to help me feel a little more human again.

If I miss a day, I miss a day. Nobody’s coming to get me. Life happens. But I’m going to give it a good go.
