Why we fight ⬇️

If you have a toddler who’s full of energy and emotion - look no further than play fighting. There are SO MANY benefits.

After school and preschool my kids are often tired, overwhelmed and have short attention spans. They struggle to calmly engage in play - they need something more. So we PLAY FIGHT!

Play fighting after school/ preschool isn’t just fun—it’s vital for emotional regulation. Activities that provide vestibular input (like spinning and swinging) and deep muscle input (like wrestling and jumping) help kids release built-up energy and stress.
This physical play stimulates their sensory systems, promoting better self-control, focus, and emotional resilience. Letting kids engage in safe, rough-and-tumble activities can make a big difference in their ability to handle emotions and transitions.

Additionally it can:

Stimulate the parts of their brain that control emotional memory, language and logic.

Help to develop their self control and give them a way of safety blowing off steam.

Support social skills as they need to read body language and facial expressions.

Practice risk taking, which is important fo taking the leap to learn new skills.

Develop problem solving skills, as they have to think fast on their feet!

It’s great physical fitness and great for girls and boys.

Share with a parent who’s little one STRUGGLES after school.
