Fill your Child up with Love

Fill your Child up with Love

A reminder that your kids are listening to you and taking on board more than your realised. They’re always listening so it’s beyond worth filling up their cup with positive things.

Yesterday I had a mother and son day with August my 3.5 year old, we got an ice cream and I just finished mine, he was still eating and we were sitting on the grass together in the sun and it was just so lovely.

I just took the time to tell him how much I love him and how much I’m proud of him. I say things like this everyday.

I said…

I love you so much August you know, you’re such a kind and thoughtful and inquisitive little boy. You’re so easy to love. I love everything about you you know. I love you just the way you are.

And he just kept eating his ice cream. He looked like he wasn’t even listening to me but I just said it and we got on with out day.

But then this morning, the kids always crawl into our bed in the morning. Etta came in early about 6 and August joined us at about 7. He crawled into bed and gave Etta a big cuddle and said..

Etta, I love you just the way you are.

And gave her a kiss.

Take this as a reminder to fill your child up with love today. They learn all their language from us so let’s give them wonderful things to say.
