Free NZ Easter Road Trip Bingo for Kids (Printable Travel Activity)

Long drives with kids can be beyond testing! You’ve only been off the drive way for five minutes and someone already needs the toilet, someone's hungry, and someone is asking “are we there yet”. My kids are forever bickering about who can choose the next song.

This free Kiwi Road Trip Bingo card won't perform miracles, but it might buy you a stretch of entertained kids without having to resort to using a screen, and that's never a bad thing.

What's on it?
We've filled the grid with things you'll actually spot on a New Zealand road trip. There are twenty-five things to find, all in picture format so even little ones who can't read yet can join in.

How to use it
Print it out and tape it to the top of a hardback book or clipboard so kids have something solid to rest on. They can cross off each square as they spot things out the window, and when they flip it over the back is blank for drawing or colouring if they want a change.

A couple of tips
Print two copies - one for your child and one for whoever's in the passenger seat. When kids see a grown-up genuinely playing alongside them, scanning the fields for a hay bale or pointing at a deer, they tend to stay interested a lot longer. It turns into something you're doing together and creates way more opportunites for language development and connection.
