Christmas Cutting
This afternoon I involved August in my Christmas wrapping by letting him practice his scissor skills. These are just kids scissors I picked up in the stationary section. He was happy to snip away whilst I did the actual wrapping.
It's good to offer lots of opportunities to use scissors because it's a key skill that kids use at school. You can get plastic scissors if you're worried about the blade, but a bit of education about safe scissor practice and staying close by should do the trick.
This activity is probably for age 2 and up. Has your little one practiced cutting at home?
